it sits on the corner of main street awaiting a little TLC to become the shining, inviting star at the entrance of our beloved historic main street.
3/14/20 — sign papers on building and partner loses their job (our income) 4 hours later due to c_19
October 2022 — completely new roof installed on original structure + patched on the newer addition (and still leaking…???)
December 2023 — artist Cheyene Renae Marcus (Covington, va) begins the first phase of a multi-artist, interconnected mural project on the pillars in front of building.

January 2024 — new concrete floor poured & electricity brought up to code in the main lower level of original structure
the garage : a space to get weird, get dirty, make stuff and things. we will slowly fill the space with paints and lathes and the tools that you need, based on demand, to make your creations a reality. offering both memberships and hourly rental and an income-based sliding scale | pay it forward program for the artists among our community facing financial difficulties.
this is where creators can sell there wares, made with us or anywheres. if you can make it, we will sell it! jewelry, skincare, wallets, yard art, furniture, ceramics, clothes, pots and plant hangers, and obviously plants too cause mother earth made them and we like them a lot.

this is where we shall host traveling artists, creators, movers and shakers, and anyone wild enough to join in on our fun.
it consists of the neighboring rainbow-inspired home—full of art and thrifted treasures for resale—and the upstairs 3 room unit of the building once renovated to its 1920s glamorous glory.
this is a brand new venture for us all. we want this corner to be all it can, for everyone, and we can’t do that alone.
the center of sunshine is a place where diversity is celebrated and voices are heard. we have a lot of work ahead of us and whether you want to join in now or later is up to you! let’s build relationships and share ideas and imagine possibilities.
